Help Different Tone from notification tone

hey there. i just got my phone yesterday. dead chuffed with it.

i've just installed ASTRO and i have been able to select my own tone for notifications. However, when i recieve texts, it doesn't play the one i've selected.

any suggestions?

Also while i'm hear, is their anyway to set the switch on and switch off tones to custom sounds.?

Notifications and txt are two different things. To change your txt msg sound you have to go into the messaging app and press the menu button and choose settings. Scroll down to notifications and you can change the sound for txt messages there.
