Sometimes it is difficult to answer the M8. Simply tapping on the icon representing 'answer' requires multiple sequential "taps". Sometimes calls are missed because of that. Any thoughts as to the problem, or are there apps out there that include icon(s) or other approaches for answering (while at the same time not enabling the phone to place/accept phantom calls).

You can try using auto answer
Settings > Call > Auto Answer Call.
This will set the phone to answer when you put it to your ear. If you are using BT it's not the best solution though.
