Diod, 2 SD cards?

Does the droid hold two SD cards? I noticed under the back cover there is a space next to the standard SD card and I was wondering if that space is another slot for a SD card?

Not sure, but I see what you mean. It doesn't appear to be another SD card slot as under that little "top layer" of metal the underneath pieces appear to be different. So no idea. Maybe its the location the GSM (Milestone) SIM cards will have their hardware port located on the GSM EU versions.
