Direct TV App

Hey Guys,

Has anyone found a Direct TV app in the market place? I was on their website and it says they have one but when I search I can't find anything. Would appreciate the help if this thing does exist, as I'm looking to be able to record things on my DVR from my phone. Thanks!

I don't have a droid yet, but on the DirectTV page they call it the "DVR Scheduler Mobile App". Try searching for that if the above doesn't work. Good luck!

ha, i'm an idiot. It might help if I spell directv correctly. Had it as directtv or directtv.

sorry...but thanks

I found it on app brain. But I am not having much success with it.
Care to share your issues? I have the scheduler on my iTouch but I have an Incredible on the way. Was really looking forward to true "schedule from anywhere" functionality. I'd like to know what issues there are...

I've had no issues with remote scheduling using the DirecTV android app. In fact, it is much faster than searching the guide on the DVR! For example:

Late in the week, I will go thru the movie channels I get for the weekend and see if there are any movies I want to record. Using the DVR, it is certainly possible, but pretty slow. Using the DirecTV android app, I can search the channels I get in about 1/4 of the time it takes using the DVR guide.

Too true, too true. The DVR, especially the HR2x models, can be painfully slow! The website is almost useless as well - way too heavy to navigate. The scheduler app is really the best thing they've released in a while.

Edit: Aside from Travel HD, that is. ;)
