Hey guys, Ive been trying to turn off 4G on my Nexus, Looking around the web i found out you have to do the following > Settings>More…>Mobile networks>Network Mode> and choose “CDMA”

I have a issue, I don't seem to have the "Network Mode" option!

Any help? (below is what i see)

Settings > Under the wireless & networks section should be a "More....." right under "Data Usage".....go to "More....." > Mobile Networks > Network Mode

The More is in the very top section of settings. Hope this helps.

The Verizon Galaxy Nexus is the only Galaxy Nexus that supports 4G. Setting it to 2G only will improve battery life(at the expense of data speeds of course).

I think this in incorrect. I have the Galaxy Nexus on T-Mobile and I get 4G speeds. I, too, would like to find a way to disable 4G but keep 3G - I have seen ways to do it in other forumns, but I believe they require root access. My phone switches between 3G and 4G while I'm at work quite often (due to the building I'm in) and it's sucking the life out of my battery.

I haven't heard of another Nexus having LTE except for the CDMA versions, so I'm not sure if that's correct.

Depends on your definition of 4G, most people think LTE (VZW) as the only 4G network, but both att and t-mobile consider their "HSPA or HSPA+" networks 4G also...

Currently, the VZW GN is the only LTE version of the phone.
