Help disable fully charged tone

Hey,

Anyone figured out yet how to disable the tone that comes on when the phone is fully charged? Preferably i'd like to disable the phone screen coming on to, anyone know about that? I don't like to sleep with my phone on silent so most nights, so about two hours after I put my phone on charge (generally about 1.5 hours into sleep) the thing goes off and often wakes me.

I've had a look through various settings but cannot find the option.

Cheers.

Also does anyone know how to enable the power saving mode without having the little recycle symbol come up at the top of the screen? It has a message saying "power saving mode enabled" even when my battery is full (I guess it's just confirming that it is set to enter this mode at 10%)

I think you will have to root the phone. Then get an app that will let you access the system files, I think there's one called Root Explorer. When you find the file with the fully charged tone, move it to another folder.

ah really, nasty! I've already rooted, will find out the exact folder and post back here, thanks for the info

I'm on my phone now so can give you a further pointer. Look here: /system/media/audio/notifications.

It could be this one: 12_Sherbet_Default_message.ogg

I quite like that one, but if it's waking you up .... lol

you don't have to root your phone for this.
Install "battery charged silencer" from the market.

Ahh, haha, i'm surprised there's an app for it! Might try alphas option first though, My sgs2 is so full of apps to do basic things that it's not funny

I had the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S2 and I got crazy if I was waked up by the fully charged sound. But I found a good app that switches the fully charged sound off, here you can find a description:

Turn off fully charged sound

I hope this helps you to have a quiet night...
