Disable notification bar

Hello all -

Got my new Hero and super excited! I am looking to disable notifications in my IM app (IM+ by shapeservices) - is this possible?

Reason being - I dont that when I get a message it shows in the notifications bar... is there some scripting I can do? is there a IM app out there that doesnt show any type of notification when an IM is received?

Don't know the settings for IM+ but ebuddy has settings you can modify for the notifications.
