Disable notification bar

I for one hate the notification bar toggles. I would like to remove them and use a third party quick settings bar to replace it. I would like one that doesn't appear as a notification but as the notification panel itself. And ideas?

Have you tried editing the toggles and removing all of them? (No, I'm not going to try it for you.) Just go into edit (the pencil) and pull a toggle icon down to the unused area, placing it between 2 other icons. You'll get a blue line, and the icon will just disappear from the bar. When you've removed the last toggle, I don't know whether the bar will disappear or you'll get a blank bar.

I don't believe that it is possible to replace the notification panel on a stock ROM.

I'm not even sure whether this is possible on any 3rd party ROM.

You could use something like a Power Toggles widget instead.
