Help Disable Notifications Gestures

Is there a way to turn off gestures on the notification drawer and/or see 'old' notifications? I don't know what I do, but when I'm scrolling through my notifications, I do something that makes them all disappear. I'm not hitting the Clear All button; it is something about the way I'm swiping. I've missed many important notifications because of this and I know it sounds ridiculous, but it has almost cost me my job now. How can I disable this clear-all action that I keep accidentally doing (or at least be able to view notifications that have been cleared)?!?

Don't swipe then horizontally to the side :thumbsupdroid:
And as far as I know you can't view dismissed notifications (someone might know better)
But you could check your important apps, email, Gmail, messages/sms, etc for something new

No idea. There's usually a cross at the bottom or like 3 offcentred rectangles at the top in a slope to close all notifications.
You can see the cross at the bottom of mine but it will be different on other phones

Thanks for trying to help. I do have essentially the same layout, except the 'x' is the word 'CLEAR'. Unfortunately, I don't think that's the issue, because this definitely has happened when I've been scrolling through in the middle of the screen, nowhere near that button.

Anyway, I hope I come across the answer one of these days because I really did like this Note 2, but in the meantime I've gone ahead and gotten an iPhone instead. Thanks again for trying.
