Help disable side buttons

I really need to disable the side hardware buttons
please advise

Seeing as one of the side buttons is the power button I don't see how this is even possible.

I too don't think this is possible. Why do you need to disable the buttons anyway?

Probably fed up with turning his phone on and off everytime he goes near the volume control

the side buttons are for volume control and for opening a menu for "plane mode, silent mode, turn off"

all the above functions can be performed with other menus from inside the OS

so, blocking the hardware buttons, doesnt mean that we wont be able to perform their functions with other ways

as for why to block them, well they are placed in areas that are used to handle the phone, so they get clicked unintentionally very often
