Root disabling 3g via build.prop method

I have the a500 16gb wifi only version and im trying to disable my tablet from constantly searching for a 3g signal by uncommenting a line in /system/build.prop
I flashed the honeyvillain1.2 rom last night and when I go to /system/build.prop and try to disable 3g by uncommenting the line that has #ro.carrier.wifi-only. (or whatever) ...the point is, I remove the # before the line and save it. When i turn the screen off and back on, the "please insert sim card" warning isn't removed from my lockscreen. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm pretty sure I'm following the directions correctly from [ROM] Honeycomb 3.2 - HoneyVillain 1.2 A500/A501 18-09 - xda-developers [blue text about halfway down the first post)
If i need to provide more info just let me know...

No one knows anything about this?? I googled for probably 2 hours and everything told me the way I tried it. I don't understand what i'm doing wrong

Reboot.....You should be fine.

Also - Make sure you SAVED the change before you exited the text Editor.

Yeah that was what I was missing. I accidentally found that out when I turned it of to go to bed -_-
