This is from the is there a way to disable 4g? thread that is on page 2 now... The post is from scionxa

download phone info by sc@taiwan
and switch to CDMA auto PRL.

solved. create shortcut on main screen for now

I have tried it and it is quick and easy, simply open the app. Go into Phone Information, then scroll down to the drop box that says CDMA+LTE/EvDo auto (remember that because that will get you back on 4G). Then simply select CDMA auto (PRL) and exit the app. Your signal might go out for a couple seconds but it will come back with 3G. Simply reverse the process to get 4G back.

Have seen a few people wanting to know this, so thought I would make a topic just for it.

As i said in the other thread, to get to the same screen as the post above is talking about without having to download an app, Just dial (*#*#4636#*#*)

Otherwise its the same thing.

Yep that is what the app is for, it's faster then having to dial the number every time :)
