Help Disabling HTC Lock Screen (Sense 3.6)

Is there a way to turn off the default HTC lock screen? I prefer to use WidgetLocker. But it seems as though the HTC locker runs underneath this. It will flicker through sometimes, before WL takes over. I don't know if it's a drain on battery or resources to have both, but I'd rather disable the HTC one. I've looked around, but haven't found an answer. People have suggested an app that completely removes a lock screen, but I don't want that. I've also tried to freeze something I found called "HTC lock screen 3," (which is the lockscreen service I think, because I selected the third lockscreen option in the customization menu), but that didn't to anything. I've seen people mention an option for no lockscreen on their Evo 3D, but there is no option for that, at least on my Evo V. Any other ideas?

Sense 3.6, stock ICS, rooted.

That will disable the security feature, though, and I still want a password after I get past the lock screen. Is there any other way to disable the HTC one?
