disabling power on notification sound

Hello,

I have a samsung s2 and when I power on the device, it plays a sound (a short tune), I think it is probably from the carrier because it sounds when the carrier logo splash screen appears soon after you power on. I would like to disable that sound because if you want to quietly power on your phone (for example, if people are sleeping, or if you are in the middle of a meeting, etc), it is simply not possible as this thing is very loud and won't go away.

I already disabled all notification sounds, but this one simply doesn't go away

Any ideas how to do that? Any help is appreciated!

I found a solution: app Silent Boot solves the problem

OR, you can become ROOT and use the app ES file explorer (or any other file explorer) to rename the .wav file that is played when the phone boots. If you rename to .wav.old for example, it doesn't play anymore.
