Disabling Search Button

Is there a way to disable the search button at the bottom? I keep touching it by accident and it screws up my navigation.

lol I couldn't answer your question... but you are not alone. I came to the droid from a LG Dare, and the search button is right where the hard button for the end is on my old phone. Every time I go to hang up the phone, I hit search, and it takes forever for me to figure out how to get back into the phone so I can end the call.

Lol i also came from a Dare which i hated by the way and i also want to disable the search button...it really gets in the way

Can you put a little piece of electrical tape over it or something? I know it's cheesy, but...

I have this problem too, but really I guess we should all get used to using that tab below the 4 touch buttons whenever we need to touch/hold the phone.
