Help Disabling Stock Lockscreen

I am trying to use Widgetlocker as my lock screen on my HTC Evo 4G. I am using Android version 2.3.5. I have set up Widgetlocker, however the stock lock screen always either pops up before the Widgetlocker or after I unlock Widgetlocker.

I know about going into the Widgetlocker settings>Advanced>Disable Stock Lockscreen.

However, touching the "Disable stock lockscreen" only gives me the option to enable easy wake mode which does absolutely nothing to actually disable the stock lockscreen from appearing.

Is there a way to disable the stock lockscreen from android software side?

Haven't used WidgetLocker but I have used GoLocker with success.
I think you may have to have GoLauncher installed to use it but GoLauncher is a very nice, customizable launcher also!!!
