Help Disappearing apps??

There are two apps on my Ally that I use often but are no longer listed in my app tray. But when I go to manage applications they are there. Why is this happening and how do I fix it.

I am not rooted...although considering it.

Are you using an alternate launcher? I know launcher pro and adw have options to hide/remove apps from the app drawer

This happened to my wife phone after the initial 2.2 upgrade. I ended up doing a factory reset, end have had no problems since.
