I just got off the phone with a Verizon tier 2 rep. I have had my 4th Rezound fail due to failed proximity sensors. The phones screen with not come back on when taking the phone away from your ear during a phone call. A failed proximity sensor makes it all but impossible to make menu selections on automated answering systems.
To make a long story short, I told the rep I would not except another Rezound but insisted on another type of replacement phone. They offered me an HTC Droid Incredible 4g. However, I was told that the phone would not come with a battery or a back. Those would have to be purchased to the tune of $75 + tax + $14.95 for shipping. The refused to use the free 2nd day shipping on, what they call, "accessories". Since when is a battery and back for a phone considered an accessory?
I am sincerely running out of patience and options. Any ideas from all of you?
I have a laptop and a tablet that I use via WiFi at home. Since the phone seems redundant, I am thinking about going back to a basic phone just to make calls and texts and use my tablet and laptop for everything else. Sound reasonable?
