What do you mean it isn't responding quickly enough? It doesn't scroll from one page to another fast enough, doesn't respond to touches fast enough...?
 
sorry i was a bit vague,i should have said does not respond to touch i.e when i am finishing a call it seems to take two or three presses of end call button ,i have not long done a factory reset but this as not helped. many thanks for your reply.

Have you gone through the screen calibration? Settings --> Language & Keyboard --> Touch Input --> Text Input --> Calibration Tool
 
If it's just at the end of a call, it'll be the proximity sensor. Before trying to end the call, make sure you move the handset well away from your face,and make sure your hand is not near the bit above the screen. That should iron out the problems.
