Discounted McGuire Sprint Plan?

I was wondering if anyone has used this to sign up online for a $10/month discount using the 450 min everything unlimited data, any mobile plan. Reduces the plan from $69.99 to $59.99. Would this disqualify you from being a Sprint Premier customer, making you ineligible for upgrades after 12 months? Thanks in advance. Any other disadvantages?

I was considering using this to order the EVO 4G Shift online, since this won't work in the stores.

I am preparing to upgrade soon, and I was wondering if you lose premier status and have to wait another year to upgrade again?

I am not sure I understand the question. With premiere status, you become upgrade eligible once every 12 months. Once you use an upgrade, be it 12 month, 14 months, 18 months, etc., you will not be eligible for another upgrade for another 12 months.

Unless you are either porting in from another Provider or getting a new line you will not be able to use this since this is the new SERO plans or everything plus plans. Any Sprint employee that it's comfortable giving you his/her work email and the las 3 digits of his system log in can get you the same plan. No Premier, No Discounts. You would be better off going to a corporate store and give them your place of employment to see if you can get a discount on your plan, some employers get as much as 27% and all activation fees are waved as an example.

The "Russ McGuire" option will not give you premier status if you get the 59.99 plan. The reason for this is, is there is no discount applied. That IS the plan. As others have said, sign up for the 69.99 plan and find an option to get 15-20% off, this will allow you to be premier, because you are signed up for a plan of 69 regardless of what you pay. The only thing is, is that it will take a couple months to actually be applied to your bill, but sometimes you can get CS to apply credits to your bills the months your discount isn't applied.

That's correct, also corporate retail stores can get the the discounts applied to the account as early as one billing cycle if the rep selects the right option on the NVP form. I always select retail that way it is applied to the account on the next billing cycle as long there is at least 15 days of the billing cycle.
