Dish Network Streaming

hmmm....So can I access my Slingbox Solo with the Dish app on my Droid X? I've tried, but all I get is a message saying that my receiver isn't connected to a home network, which it is. I've got an ip address, and I've reset the connnection to no avail.

Will the quality be any different than using the sling app, or do you need the new sling adaptor to see the quality difference?
 
I'm having some fun times getting it to give me a good framerate but Fancast works for us Comcast users. Watching Conan in HD right now.
 
Dish with Sling works really well. I was concerned that it wouldn't since my home internet connection is around the minimum required. But even viewing on 3G the shows come through smoothly after a few seconds of hiccup after changing the cannel. This is a great way to be entertained while getting an oil change or waiting for a plane.
 
when I try to run this app I get a message saying the slingbox password is not set. Please enter the correct password to continue.

what is that? cannot find it anywhere on my setup menu. I have my dish tv username and password and I can see my recorded shows and live shows, but when I try to watch them I get an option to watch on phone or tune the tv to the channel. I select I wanna watch it and my tv tunes to that channel and then I get the above message.

All I can find online is related to watching on computer and running some slingbox setup program.

Suggestions? download pc software and attempt to generate the 24 digit code on pc and use that one?

EDIT: so I found some settings in Preferences in the slingbox portion of my dishtv.com account. created an admin password and trying to use that to login. says locating 1211212... my receiver number and has cancel on the bottom and I get nothing.

It is the number on the bottom side of your sling adapter. Unless you have the reciever with the built in sling. If that is the case, I'm not sure. I will say that the "sling team" at Dish customer service has been awesome to work with.

Are you using the dish sling adapter? or just slingbox? i dont think the app works unless u have dishes adp.
 
I have the sling adapter from Dish and DRA app on my droid x. I cant seem to access my DVR recordings. Any ideas on how to get this to work?
