disk usage - app

Can someone please explain within the app what

system data 112.8mb refers to

I have only 19.7 mh of apps installed and its not my contacts.

Are you actually using the app called DiskUsage or is it another one? In DiskUsage you should be able to press on System Data and see it expand to show what's filling it up. Or pinch and zoom out.

I'm sure it's Diskusage.

Pinch and zoom doesn't work, neither does double tap.

Is there a better app that we'll brake it all down ?

It isn't only the phone storage which an app needs for its program code, it needs phone storrage for its data and for its cache.
E.g. the Phandoid app from this forum needs on my phone: ;)
Source: 1.8MB
Data: 4MB
Cache: 5MB

All apps -in a list with this items- shows me 'Quick App Manager' from 'Le Cerisier Bleu'.

EDIT: If don't need this split in source, data and cache you also can use EStrongs Data Explorer for the job. It shows your a list with all apps and their total phone storage consume :)

EDIT: By the way, the app 'DiskUsage' does not show the amount of cache which each app uses of phone storage :(
With the Phandroid app, DiskUsage shows only 5.8MB of 10.8MB usage of phone storage.
