my battery life has sucked since the j16 update too. i know when samsung put the j15 update, that also fixed the gps for me, and my battery life was still great. i could go 2-3 days without charging, and im on my phone all the time. however, i had to replace my phone and the one i got had the j16 update. now my battery life sucks. i don't want to ask about an exchange, cause there's nothing that tmobile sells that matches the vibrant. well, android wise. sure, you can get a nexus s, but tmobile doesn't deal them, it's all sold through best buy. the only other phone i could think that would rival the vibrant from tmobile is the htc hd7. yes, it is a windows phone, but i like the new wp7 OS. i'm an avid xbox live gamer and have a zune account so it'll work great for me. i only had to replace the vibrant once though, and it was a problem with the j16 update trying to install itself. my only complaint now is 2.2. does it make me upset? kinda... i want flash. that's the only reason i want froyo, and i'm not very knowledgable when it comes to flashing new roms. otherwise i would have mine overclocked to 1.6 GHz, and have froyo on it already. it's rooted, that's it. i just undid the lag fix with the once click lag fix from the market place.
