Display problems after root

Dainiokas

Lurker
Hello, after root my sgs2 display is like out of colours or washed-out, is it possible after unroot colours goes back, or there is other way???

I used XWKDD_insecure firmware and rooted by SuperOneClick 2.3.3. where is a problem?

I didn't use that method but I had the same problem. What I ended up doing was getting my stock Firmware and Kernel and flashing my phone back to stock. Then I re-rooted and the display was fine. I used the CF Root method.

If the screen problem was caused by the rooted kernel then reflashing your original kernel or a different custom one should sort it.

I've just noticed your thread in the all things root forum. It's because you used the superoneclick method which uses rooted firmware instead of a rooted kernel. So if you flash some stock firmware and then root using the cfroot method you should be fine.

It won't have to be your original firmware any stock firmware will do. So you might as well go for a recent one. I would recommend the xwla4 as its the most recent stable. It doesn't matter that its German as most European firmware are pretty much the same Instructions and download can be found here

Once you are back on stock firmware root using this guide.
