I haven't had that problem but it seems like it's a big enough problem to merit an exchange. I'd take it back to the store and exchange it as soon as possible.

I gave it a few hard resets with no luckt o anykind of fix.
sometimes the only way to make a call was to do a battery pull, keyword sometimes.

I went in to vzw today, I showed and explained it to them and it actually didnt work for them either. which is nice cause it was 80% tempermental.
but u was prepaired with the pics that I took.
anyways got a new replacement.

Just today I was using the voice recorder. The screen timed out and when i turned it back on, I had split screen. I fixed it by hitting the power button a few times.

I also have had the same issue a couple of times. I don't use voice recorder, but have had the split screen under different circumstances. Basically it duplicates the screen and creates two square format versions. Power off and on seems to fix it. But I may give tech support a call and see what they think.

Mine did that too, well, a smilar thing. I pulled it out of my pocket at work and tried to check it, hit the power button and the screen lit up with a blueish/purplish/magentaish color, with a solid line down the middle of the screen. I thought I could get a screen shot of it, but when I took the screen shot, it took a shot of the home screen, running below the messed up screen.

LUCKILY, I pulled it out and kept playing with it when the screen was messed up, allowing a co-worker of mine enough time to get her phone, take a pic of it and email it to me. I took it and the pic into Verizon and got it swapped out with a new one (within my 14 day return window).

Here's a pic of what mine did...
