Anyone have any image display issues with their wallpaper not stretched across multiple screens? Also auto rotate on the home screen doesnt function. Its happening on rooted phone 2.3.4 Stock odin flashed and cwm updated to 2.3.6 still stock no custom rom.
 
when u say "not stretched " do u mean not scrolling? did u try changing orientation stetting in display settings?

When you have multiple problems you have to start considering the probability the hardware is the problem.

To confirm flash back to stock (unrooted probably with phone reset if it's available) and attempt to reproduce the problems. If you can than it is the hardware and will have to get it repaired or replaced.

Side note most of the updated 2.3.6's here are for boost, if your phones not boost it can cause a problem potentially. I would say flash back to stock rooted like you had done earlier, assuming the problem did not occur at that point as well. Than use the voodoo ota rootkeeper, run it, than let the update run.

Ok I recently went back to stock, protected root, updated to 2.3.6, than flashed root and cwm so recovery is cwm at default.

I have the exact same problem you described for the picture scrolling except the orientation always stays portrait on home screen unless you slide out keyboard. The issue described about orientation was always there and works for games and other things correctly same as in 2.3.4

If I figure it out for the scrolling I will post back. However I have confirmed this on my fiances phone as occuring so it is most likely part of the 2.3.6. No problems with the camera though.

Just to clarify problem is picture stays as if you were on center, home, screen. Swipe to the left or right and picture stays exactly the same. It used to move the wallpaper to the left slightly if you swiped right and vice versa.
 
Ya that is the same problem i have same issue i also tried to flash back and see if it was the same and got the same outcome no matter how i updated the phone. Thanks for verifying the issue appreciate it.
 
Shot in the dark here guys but can you go to settings display and make sure all animations are checked and. Auto rotate screen is checked too? If they are please uncheck them, restart your phone and check them again..
 
I had this problem with my wallpapers on the 100%.stock unrooted 2.3.6. I figured out that whaat my problem was that the image just wasn't wide enough, are you cropping yours off facebook or somewhere else?

Well the picture I use was taken on the TU. When having the TU choose a picture it crops it automatically and changes both verticle and horizontal equally. I made it as big as it could and it stil happened. Even the stock wallpapers do this still, but all worked on 2.3.4.

Loota I tried disabling both options, rebooting, and it still would not move the wallpaper like 2.3.4.

As far as problems go I will take this anyday over broken wifi. It's all good:)
 
If you don't want the phone to crop the image resize it to 640x480. Then when you go to make a wall paper you'll have to stretch the box to use the whole picture.. it won't crop it at all, and the center of the image will be centered on your middle home screen. :)

I'm using 2.3.4 rooted. With the stock launcher my home screen never rotates to landscape mode unless I slide out the keyboard. My wife's phone, not rooted is the same. I use Go launcher and it auto rotate just fine. It also has the option to turn on/off the scrolling wallpaper.

Yep. I turned them off, restarted phone, turned them back on.

I'm going to look into go launcher on the 2.3.6 as it has an option specifically for scrolling wall paper.

Like I said earlier not a big deal or priority imo. It would be nice if it worked but I will live without if necessary.

:confused:i have the same issue on my samsung transform ultra. ever since the system update over a month ago, my wallpaper doesnt scroll. i know its a small thing but it dfeats the purpose of having widescreen or live wallpapers. someone please help me! thanks.
