Display setting

What display setting are you using? Do you leave it in "Auto," or go manual and turn it down to save battery. Is there a Widget to quickly increase brightness when you are outside with the push of a button if you are using the manual setting?

I have mine set down below half. I did the same on my Incredible. The difference really isn't that bad at all. I do turn it up if I'm out in the sunlight, though.

There is a widget, long press on the screen then Widget>Settings>Screen Brightness

Awesome! I was wondering what that widget was for! :o
I had this screen on auto when I was outside today, and found it very hard to see in the sun. Hopefully turning it up will help. Glass is way too reflective....

Anyone know if you can modify these settings. I keep my office very dark (work on computers all day) so I have my phone set to the lowest brightness. It's bright enough for me in a dark room. Then I can use this widget to make brighter when i am outside. however I cannot get the app to go to the lowest setting so I need to go into the display area. no big deal but a little extra work that would be nice to have the widget do for me.

Try pressing the widget then go into settings and adjust the slider, just be sure the auto brightness box is not checked.

I don't know about you, but I can't get to the settings dialog through the widget. Just cycles through 33 / 66 / 100% brightness. Double click cycles two steps. Long-press goes into move-icon mode. Suggestions for a shortcut? Thanks.
