Help display won't react while recharging

Hi,
I am using a Nexus S with Android 2.3.4. Now I bought a new (and cheap) 230V/USB-Adapter and a USB cable. While recharging with this set my touchscreen would react very randomly. What could be the reason for this and might this affect my phone?

BTW: What is this Nexus S 4g? How do I know which Generation I have and what are the differences in stats?

Hasn't anyone experienced this ever? A friend of mine now has the same problem with her HTC Wildfire S and a different loading device.
We both use GO launcher EX. Could this problem come from that launcher?

The launcher is a definite suspect. Switch to stock or a different launcher for a few days to troubleshoot and let us know how it goes
