Help displaying wrong number

hi all, i recently bought Xeperia play and inserted sim card that came with phone. i then imported my old phone number from other network but phone is still displaying the old number in contacts under My Number. i have phoned helpline (ha ha) and gone back to shop but no-one knows how to alter it. hope you can help because banging my head against wall at moment

If your talking about the contact at the very top of the list named "Myself" then all you do is click on it and then click edit at the top in the centre of the image of the person.

if not then i dont know what number your talking about. Sorry

yes i am on about the contact "Myself" but you can edit everything except the number.

Unfortunately the number is pulled directly from the SIM itself and whilst you have ported your number this is only on the networks side, the number of the SIM itself is still the same. At this stage I am unaware of a way to resolve this type of issue.
