i recently deleted the Gmail app thinking that i could just use the generic email client for my gmails. (i also deleted Samsung social hub)
but since doing that i had to re configure (login) to my gmail account and have not been receiving notification in the status bar (at the top of the screen).
i do however get a notification on the widget.
the update rate off new emails being received seems to have majorly slowed also.
i have been through the settings and have notifications on.
i have also been to the sync settings and there is no longer a gmail sync (obviously) but im thinking this might be effecting the sync of the generic email app?
i do have google sync but when i go in to that there is again no gmail icon to sync
