Help DLNA Issues & help

I cannot get my phone to play videos via the DLNA version on my tv. My Evo 4G LTE played them fine, so did my previous other two phones. (The Note and S3). I could view pictures as well.

With the One it wont play them. I get "Video Cannot be played" message when I try. Is anyone having issues? I have a LG Smart Tv. Like I said my previous HTC phone played them fine.

Any ideas? My software on my TV is up to date. I've turned on media sharing on the phone. I've tried to stream videos via the phone and even tried going through the tv but going through the tv it doesnt show any media to play at all when I select my phone.

Is this something HTC did to make people pay 90 bucks for their Media Link? I had it but because Evo4G LTE played via DNLA I didnt need it so I took it back.
 
It's more likely a codec issue with the newer phone.

In your gallery (assuming you shot these), I believe that you can tap the vid and get details - please post those here.
 
The HTC One records in H.264 high profile 4.1 with AAC 2

Since this is a newer codec level compared to what is supported on DLNA it may not play until the TV receives an even newer update and that is even if the TV's processor can handle the decode.

Same thing is for me. My LG 42LM6410 TV can play video recorded using Nokia N8 and Galaxy note 2 through DLNA, but I'm getting error when I tried to play a video recorded using my new HTC One. I've copied a video from N8 to HTC One that was recorded using N8. HTC One was able to play this video through DLNA. So it seems there might be some codec issues. Please let us know when you have any solution.
 
Hi, just wondering if anybody could help an Android newbie please!

In The HTC Watch app there is the ability to push the video onto my Panasonic Blu Ray player over WiFi. Is there anyway to do this with videos you have stored on the device? Can I use my own videos in the HTC Watch app or is there an app on the Play Store that would allow me to do this?

So in just about a week, I'll be leaving the iOS ecosystem for Android. And in particular I'll be picking up the One. But a question for you all.

Can I stream pictures and video wirelessly to my Samsung Smart TV?

Question for me has been resolved. My friend was up from SF and he has the One. He connected to my WiFi, and was able to wirelessly stream video and photos from his phone to my Samsung TV. The UI to do so was a bit clunky but it worked.
 
Perhaps the official HTC dongle might cut through some of the muck:

Admittedly,it's a bit expensive,but,if you find yourself using it on a regular basis,I'd say it's worth it.Check some 3rd party retailers such as AMAZON/e-Bay,etc... for lower pricing.

BTW,I'm guessing the reason you didn't get any replies to your question is for the reason stated above & not too many Smart TV owners out there to test this out for you.

Otherwise,there's a LOT of great people here in this forum ready to assist w/any questions/troubleshooting/issues that you may have.

Thank you, sir! I've posted a few times on here, mostly about the camera though. But I'm positive that as soon as June 1st comes around and I make the switch, I'll have A LOT more questions! :hmmmm:
 
Same issue it's the HTC software
I used es file explorer worked through it 80 % of the time
Was watching 1080 p movies fine
LG 55 7400 I think
Android software
