Root Do any customer roms fix wifi issues?

Was anyone having wifi issues with the stock rom and have the wifi issues go away after installing a custom rom?
I am having wifi issues with mine and have since day one. I am having the issues with a DLink DGL-4500 and DIR-655 if I am in mixed mode, Wireless G and N. If I lock it in Wireless G mode only then it will stay connected.
Don't really care about going to a custom rom but if it would solve my wifi woes I would do it.

I think it might be more of an issue with your router and bridge. Ive read numerous complaints online about mixed mode dropping connections on
d-link routers. I have an all n setup and the x connects fine.
