Do I need a file explorer?

Hello. I am wondering if I actually need a file explorer and if so which is best? And a few other programme s

I use my nexus at home for the usual browsing social media etc. Picture snagging and reading documents but want too start using it more instead of getting the laptop out.

So I need to run my qnap nas that stores all my media, find a good substitute for ms money, find some way to monitor the kids usage b and manage all my email attachments. I have drop box, sky dive and Google drive.

Can all this home management be done from my nexus?

Any advice fearfully received

I use ES File Explorer for copying stuff to and from my NAS.

I use my N7 for reading books and magazines that I store on the NAS, so I need some way to copy them to and from the tablet. Using ES File Explorer is a lot quicker than having to turn on my PC and use a USB cable.

I'm skeptical about using the N7 to take over much of what I do on my PC. Yes, it can be done, but that doesn't mean it's quicker and easier.

Take a look at what I posted about my use of my N7.

I've used MoneyManager EX for years on my PC. There is an Android version that I use on my N7. The database is the same so I can open it on either device. Yes there are things I can do more easily on my PC, but for my morning routine I use only my N7. I use Astro File Manager on my N7. It can see all the devices on my home network and I can copy files from my N7 directly to my Windows Home Server.
