Do I need G-mail

Hi guys

A noob here and thanks already for the good advice, my desire is ordered and I;ve already marked out some apps I need from the very useful threads here, especially the new users one so thanks

however, i have yahoo mail account and assume I can set this up for the desire to link to (seen some posts)

but as it s an android phone, would it be better to have a g-mail account -

are tehre any pro's which would make it worth swapping (and before I get the phone or not). apologies if this is answered somewhere here but there's so many posts, I 'm sure I'll enjoy getting lost in them as I get to grips with the phone

You need a gmail account to access the market.

it is handy to have a gmail as is very easy and convenience to synchronies your email and calendar to you phone.

not quite sure about yahoo. I chrome as my internet browser at home, gmail and android phone and I'm a happy bunny
