Help Do I need to up date my ROM?

I have recently bought some sort of Flytouch 3 clone and as I don't seem to have many of the problems discussed on this site I wonder whether I should/need to update my ROM to TIM's latest release, and if I do what benefits I will get over and above the ROM I currently have.

My current system is:
Model Number DISCO10
Android version 2.2-20110503
Kernal version 2.6.32.9
Build number FRF85B

You don't need to feel left out! If the tablet does all you want it to and you are happy with it why not just get used to it first?

It would appear that the 2.2-20110503 is not a valid indicator as to which firmware you have installed as mine reports the same but is in fact Tims 4e firmware... Upgrading firmware on the DISCO/DISCO10 models is easy and pretty well pain free... when you feel you would like to try either the latest official firmware or one of the hybrid versions then jump in.... you can always
go back if you don't like it!!
