Help Do i still keep latest update?

My phone got very slow, and i feel i need a ''factory data reset''
on it to clean up things, but will i still keep my last official
firmware update 2.1 after reset? or will it go back to v.1.5?
The phone i am talking about is a galaxy Spica and it's unrooted.

You wont lose any updates if you factory reset

I've just upgraded to 2.2 on Desire, I used the juicedefender app to prolong battery life slightly and with normal use would last 1 - 1.5 days. Since upgrade the longest it has lasted it 7 hours. Something is seriously wrong, even on standby with nothing on overnight it still drained at an almost maximum rate and was dead by 7 am. Not happy.
