Root Do i still need a Goldcard to ROOT a debranded phone

I have used created and used a goldcard to debrand my phone and install a generic ROM.

I i now decide to ROOT my phone, will i still need to create a Goldcard?

Because you needed a goldcard the first time around, I think you still need one now. You should be able to use the same goldcard you used when you debranded the phone.
