I had mine for two days and put in in a glass of water to show off the mil spec advertised water resistant feature to some co-workers. Now phone is not working and Verizon says that it is not covered under the 14 day return. The Casio warranty states that water damage is not covered and their warranty service provider is saying it is not covered. The ads show this thing being used in a shower. Nothing in the ad says that getting it wet and it failing would void the warranty. They don't even use the standard disclaimer of saying don't try this at home!
This is flat out false advertising. When you run ads showing it being used in extreme conditions you need to step up to the plate and accept returns when people do so and the product fails. Where would Timex had been if they had taken such a stance?
Casio are you listening? Quit hiding behind your warranty service provider! You need to contact me or this is going to get ugly fast, you have an ad campaign that is starting this weekend and I will be posting many comments stating that you do not stand behind this product. This is your opportunity to turn around a negative into a positive. I like the phone and I suspect the speaker seal failed as we saw bubbles coming out of the speaker.

I was told that the Casio rep actually came into the Verizon store and did that as part of his demonstration, dropped in a bucket of water. It is also advertised as meeting the mil spec of total immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes; you know as: IN WRITING they state this. Then why is it not a manufacturing defect when it can't even handle a glass of water for 10 seconds.
