Cheap car radios are available that support bluetooth audio, which is a better bet, as it can handle phone calls, in-car microphones, pausing and restarting via the radio either manually or when a traffic announcement comes in etc. I use bluetooth on a radio I bought for

Is it a handy feature? Yes. Is it all that great? No.

The quality from a small device broadcasting on FM frequencies is pretty bad, especially in heavily populated areas with a station on nearly every frequency. It's useful if you absolutely have no other choice.

I'd much rather have a Bluetooth enabled stereo to connect my phone to, especially if that meant I could control my phone through the stereo controls. I connect my phone to my car stereo via 3.5mm audio cable, but It's a pain to have to pick up my phone, turn on the screen, and then find the skip button while driving.
