You don't really need an antivirus program for Android, unless you rooted your phone or sideload apps from unknown sources. Don't download apps from untrusted sites, or any apps that have bad reviews.
Some antivirus apps you can use:
TrustGo
Avast
AVG
Depends on who you ask, I suppose. But I've been droiding for three years, have over a hundred apps installed, got all of them through Google Play, never had an issue.
I say use one if it makes you feel safe but not if it's drinking your battery.
Imo the only useful feature in some of these apps is the lost/stolen phone type features :thumbup:
Also, remember malware has to be installed by you, it can't install itself on android
