Help Do you have to load software to your computer

Newbie
I have a new droid--and I have a bunch of song files (mp3) from my blackberry that I transferred to my laptop--I'd like to now transfer these files to my Droid.

Since my droid is new, do I first have to install software on my laptop? I simply want to transfer the song files from my laptop to my droid (Droid incredible 2). I plug in the Droid to the computer and my windows explorer freezes up for some reason...

Thanks!

Moved to Droid Incredible 2 forum.

You shouldn't have to install anything on your PC. When you plug in the phone, you should see a usb icon in the notification bar. Pull down the bar and tap on the icon. You should get the option to connect as mass storage. Do that and you phone's sd card will appear as a removable drive. Copy the files there.

The options I get are:
Charge Only

HTC Sync

Disk Drive

Internet Connection Mode

Media Sync

Internet Pass-through

I don't see one that discusses mass storage...please advise..thanks
