When I was twelve I visited an aunt and uncle who had many kids. One of my cousins was just a couple of years younger than I, and he was already wearing a 13EEE. (I don’t recall what size I was at the time.)I was graced with big feet. EEE shoes all my life. Men's size 12-13 wide or extra wide was a problem but they aren't that hard to find nowadays.
