Do you have wide feet?

I do, actually. I bought a pair of boots last year that were regular width, but the same size I always wear, and blew the stitches out of them well before the soles began to wear down.

I went back to wide with the latest pair.

Crazy people, intelligent people with wide feet. I have to wear around size nine and a half men's shoes, my ankles keep hitting the souls of others.

I think I have Olbriar type of feet.

Related topic: I found a store locally that measures feet using a computer and shows you the printout and can find the right shoe. Pretty high tech stuff. They emailed me the specs of my son's feet and I bought him some better fitting shoes. Now, my turn.

I was graced with big feet. EEE shoes all my life. Men's size 12-13 wide or extra wide was a problem but they aren't that hard to find nowadays.
When I was twelve I visited an aunt and uncle who had many kids. One of my cousins was just a couple of years younger than I, and he was already wearing a 13EEE. (I don’t recall what size I was at the time.)

In shoes, to the best of my recollection, I have always been a “D” student. Which in men’s feet is considered “normal” (this greatly surprised my wife, as in women’s sizes “B” is considered “normal,” so she thought I had extra-wide feet).

When I was in the 6th grade I borrowed my father's cowboy boots to go to a rodeo with some friends. They were tight fitting and uncomfortable but I was stylin' :) When I got home we struggled long and hard to get those boots off. We almost resorted to cutting them off. Point at hand: I have no idea where I got my big foot syndrome.

…as opposed to Bigfoot Syndrome…
