Help Do you keep WiFi on at home?

Question:
When you are at home in your wifi network zone do you keep wifi enabled or do you only switch it on in the GT540 when you need it?

Have you tried leaving it on and turning it only on when you need it? If so - did you notice much battery difference and was it connecting a bit of a chore as it took too long?

I keep it on at home as its more convenient and i can easy plug in and charge up if battery gets low, but i havent noticed that much effect on the battery anyway.

Yeah since the Wifi only turns on whenever the phone turns the screen on, it barely drains the battery.

I keep Wi-Fi on where ever I have Wi-Fi available and I set it to stay always on, even when its locked. It doesnt seam to drain battery, in fact, if it had any effect on battery I think it only made it last longer. I read about that somewhere on some web site dealing with that. They say its better to use Wi-Fi if you have strong signal, especialy if you have low 2G or 3G signal. That way the phone doesnt have to strugle to get a good signal from 2G n 3G, which put aditional stress on battery. Instead it always have strong Wi-Fi signal available so it saves some battery, or atleast it doesnt drain it.
And often I forget to turn it off when im not using it but it doesnt seam to have any big effect on battery.
