Swap those poker cards for Cards Against Humanity, and you can live anywhere...

Why yes. The internet is a beautiful place.

Are u kidding? Those are far too expensive haha nah I couldn't be one of those.. I think it'd get to be intrusive lol

As much as I love NYC/Long Island, it makes enjoying life to the fullest very difficult. The cost of living here is incredibly high as one can imagine. We've got some of the highest property taxes in the country here in Nassau County.
I think it would be more effective to move out of state to give my daughter the kind of quality of life she deserves. However, that's an idea for another day.

Not in B-town proper, but fairly close.Bakersfield in California? Check: been there, done that ☺ You've got sequoias!

so we stopped looking for now). Before taking a trip and then moving, I just bought the goofiest looking, fastest SUV

I'm about to drive seven hundred miles in one day ... That spooks me
Just wondering how others feel about where they live. I've been all over the map--literally and figuratively!--and have lived in places I couldn't stand as well as places I really loved.

For me, I spent years living in a place where I never felt at home, and that I strongly disliked. It was circumstance that caused that.
I've been back home in California now for eight years, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I feel like *ME* again. Seeing the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains every day warms my soul. And being able to practically live outside 365 days a year is so...NORMAL! I love that I can do that again.
So, what's your situation?
So I booked a room roughly in-between, tomorrow night. It wasn't so much the twelve-hour drive that spooked me but the landing on Mars in the middle of the night.

New York will always be my home but I've finally decided to move. Its just a matter of when. Cost of living is just too high and its a struggle. When I hear my friends living in houses that are cheaper than 1 bedroom apts in other states.....it boggles my mind. Currently saving up.
