Do You Root Your Android?

I'm a bit hesitant to go to a domain named "Lifehacker." Care to elaborate on what exactly it is before I click the link? Is it just a poll of who's rooted and who's not?
 
Lifehacker is a member of the Gawker media network, just like Gizmodo or Kotaku. It's all about giving tips for "hacking" your "life" to make it more efficient, cheaper, etc.

Wireless tether
All apps that should be on the market for non root users. But o well
I am a complete novice and was able to use the unr3voked 3.0 with one click and that useful thread.
 
Another Lifehacker fan here. I get daily emails from them. Some pretty interesting stuff. Not much different than reading Popular Science.
 
Yep. I rooted mine! Only took a few minutes and it's a done deal (once I got a fast enough SD card... 16GB Adata)
 
I wanted to remove all of Verizon's "Bloat-ware" like CityID that kept bugging me.
Now I have a nice, clean phone and the battery last a LOT longer!
