Accessories do you use a screen protecter or do you really need one?

I think it depends on you and how comfortable you are going 'naked'. The Atrix has THE best screen on the market. That is, it has gorilla glass and it also has an oleophobic coating. That is, the screen is harder to scratch and attracts fingerprints. Youtube 'Gorilla Glass scratch test' to get an idea. If you're not clumsy and prone to drops, then you should be fine 'naked'.

Call it a false sense of security, but knowing i have gorilla glass has kept me from buying a screen protector.. never liked buying them and I love the feel of going commando! =)

I go naked...I just put my phone on my phone holster i got off ebay when im not using it..just be careful not to drop it or mix your phone with keys in pocket and ull be fine...i used my ip4 naked in my pocket and never had a scratch.

I have had the OG Droid since its inception without a screen protector, and not a single scratch or blemish.

Gorilla Glass FTW!

I'm going 'commando' on my Atrix too. I've always used screen protectors just to preserve the screen even though I take great care of my phones. However, the anti-glare I had on it first really dulled down the display with its hazzy look and now I have the invisi shield on there which offeres great protection but again I hate how it makes the display look.

I've done some research on the Gorilla Glass and it seems kinda redundant to have a screen protector on there when the phone was designed with this super tough screen.

No you don't need one. (But, it would be wise to.) you've got nothing to lose. I'm putting the Zagg Shield on mine, just in case. Also, I like the fact that the screen protector dosen't show finger prints like the bare screen.

Actually the Atrix's screen is pretty good at not showing/attracting finger prints compared to other phone.

I know that the atrix screen doesnt show fingerprints as much as other phones do, but they were still visible. I just recently installed a Skinomi screen protector on mine and so far i have not been able to see any fingerprints at all. I had a zagg on my iphone, but didnt care much for the orange peel effect that they gave. I have an installation video that i made when i put this on and will be uploading it soon if anyone is interested, and i will be posting a review once i get a few days of using it to see how it holds up.

Sure! Go for it :) For information makes us inform shoppers ;)

I just put one of these on the shell of my phone last night (the carbon fiber one) and it's great so far today. I have received quite a few compliments on it today at work.
I'll be putting the screen protector on it over the weekend. Be interested to look at your video before i try mine if you happen to have that handy.

I am uploading the video now and will post the link for you. I have been using my protector for a few days and have to say i love it. Doesn't give the rubbery "orange peel" feel like the Zagg shields do, although they offer comparable protection. You can hardly feel that there's a protector on at all! I will also be making a formal review video and posting that, but i will throw it in a new thread. If you are looking for a screen protector, i would definitely recommend the Skinomi ones.

EDIT: Here is the video. It is still processing, but should be available shortly

Also, in my video, i put the back casing of the phone back on when i took out the battery, but i would recommend NOT doing it. If you put too much of the liquid, it will probably get in the case. Nothing to worry about, but just a precaution.

I have always used protection on my PDAs/smartphones. Seems like a reasonable precaution and it costs so little. You just never know what can happen and I hate scratches. No screen is truly scratch-proof.

I have a Realook Screen Protector on my Atrix and you can't even tell it's there. Perfect fit and look. Plus, it's washable and reusable, though I've not had good luck reusing similar protectors in the past.
