I'm not sure what your question is. Are you asking if contacts are synced with facebook on the actual android handset?

If so, yes...mine are synced. I made no changes to my account settings within facebook.

Been using it for more than 24 hours now and push notifications seem to be working fine. It does not seem to notify me on my phone if a new chat message is sent. I suppose you would have to have the app actually open and running in the BG to get those. Private messages and notifications are being pushed without issue so far.
Alright, thanks. That's what I was looking for. I was thinking that maybe the people not getting the notifications pushed to their phones were getting some interference form Moto's social networking apps that were built in. I'm going with the "problem is on Facebook's end" approach"

I actually don't use the app, I use Friendstream (part of Sense on hTC phones for those that don't know.) on my incredible.

Same. I have the FB & Twitter apps, but primarily use Friendstream as well. I also use the browswer for FB. Really, the only time I use the app is when I'm using the Places feature.

never had an account and never plan on it..... I can see its usefulness for people and Im sure there are plenty of people who actually rely on it to stay in touch..... I personally have just never seen a need for me to use it

as for the chain letters.... these kids and their emails definitely have it easy......... there was a time when they were sent via smoke signal....

I check facebook alll the time and get the notifications via text. Hahahha.
But I swear everyone I know is like that, like honestly I don't know anyone who is my age without one.

To anyone who takes FB so seriously that they get angered by all the SOCIAL events and SOCIAL things in general going on within their own account.

Cry a river, build a bridge and get over it!!

It is a SOCIAL NETWORK people. If your TOO COOL to be bothered by it. DELETE it..

Man some people just aren't happy id their not complaining about something!!

Well I responded to the survey with the last choice because up until a few days ago, I hadn't used it for quite a while.

After learning that I would be transferred back home to Wisconsin, I figured it would be a good way to keep friends and family updated on the timeline and to find people whose numbers and email addresses have changed over the years I've been away. So if I could change my answer, it would be the first option. I'm sure it'll die down after a few weeks but I'm kinda hooked right now. My wife calls me a junkie on a daily basis.

Friend Stream is too limiting for me. You can only enter up to 160 or so characters when commenting. I use the Friend Stream widget to read updates or if I only have a short comment. If I have a long comment, I launch the FB app.
