Accessories Do you use protection case for your htc desire?

Ouch. That's gotta hurt.

I keep my Desire on a pedestal in the centre of the lounge with a single spotlight shining on it. It has a 4 feet exclusion zone round it maintained by velvet ropes. I hoover anyone entering the room so as not to get dust on it and make them hold their breath so it doesn't get fogged. At precisely 6pm every evening I clean it using a cloth made from the rarest South American albino llama wool.

That or I shove it in a HTC pouch when its in my pocket but otherwise display it in all its glorious nakedness for everyone to see.

:D

vivid imagination ! i need you for my art director on my next photo shoot.. hahha.

i find i enjoy my things a lot more when i aint paranoid about busting it up...

i dont like having cases on my phones and always lose phone socks/pouches so dont bother. phone is insured anyway.

so far iv dropped it n concrete which just left a few scuffs on the bottom, which are hardly noticeable and another time i dropped it flat on the screen on wooden floor with no damage. seem pretty hard to break, not that im willing to test another drop or two :D

I use the Case-Mate "Barely there case" to protect against scratches and short falls and the "Zagg Invisible Shield" for the front of it to protect against all scratches.

I'm really good at protecting my electronics but whenever i do drop it, it's never onto the pavement or areas that could severely damage it, it's almost always indoors...hence why i opted for a nice form fitting case and the invisi-shield

I use the casemate, its nearly as good as handling the phone naked, and I tried the screen protector that came with it, but didnt like it.
C-M and an empty pocket

You're phone aint new till you drop it!

I have a rather lovely Orange Silicon case on mine.

Wasn't going to bother but I dropped it on day two, picking up a slight screen scratch in the process and though I'd better get something :D

i have a gel case for the back of the phone and a clear screen protector for the front.... im sure at some point ill drop it a few times and that the gel case probably wont make much diffrence as most phones are testied to withstand about 50 drops, although im sure this only covers the internal parts from comeing lose... no dought the most vunerable part is the screen wich the protector will not help with. but im reluctant to put it in a flip case or pouch as it will reduce the look/rub my mates face for having a nokia or iphone aspect. i do belive the screen protector is a must as i always end up with scratches and hate greesy fingerprints so i can cleen it to my hearts desire and when it gets bad i can put a new one on :D

I use a flip case (one that flips down rather than up, as I think this gets in the way less). Means I'm less worried about dropping it on the screen (I've seen one smashed that way), and has a the bonus that if something activates the screen in my pocket I don't worry that my leg will trigger some action through the fabric of my trousers (I never carry it with the screen facing outwards - my first mobile lost its screen that way).

Plus I can close the flip one handed with a flick of the wrist, which reminds me of my old Motorola RAZR (though I'd have flicked that in the opposite direction).

I have just received 2 EPIC cases - following a recommendation on here. Do a search on ebay.com for "epic desire". I have the hard case that fits over the back and sides and the semi rigid rubberised case which is the better of the 2. Took 2 weeks to arrive from China/HongKong.

Few pictures of mine .. its real safe in this , although a proximity alert widget would ease my mind :-)

I've tried quite a few different cases, and the Flexishield is the best by far. Has withstood a few accidental drops with no damage to phone.

I removed my Screen protection and case today. I refuse to be bullied by the worry of dropping my phone. I am spreading my wings . . . I feel free, liberated even . .

I also removed my screen protector and silicon case a month ago ........ never looked back ..... the phone looks and feels great without all that crap on it.

I generally carry it in an htc slip case

After 3 months of heavy usage it is still immaculate.

I take particular issue with putting a screen protector on that beautiful screen and in my experience I found them far from undetectable.

I think those screen protectors differ a lot. I used my Desire for a few days before my protector came and I was very paranoid until it did!

I honestly couldn't tell once it was fitted and did a great job fitting it if I do say so myself :P

That was a 'Folex' one from Amazon.

I'm forever worried about dropping and breaking mine, so got a silicon bumper case from ebay for a few quid. Fits well and puts my mind at rest :P

I picked up 2 slimline gel cases to protect the back and screen protectors in a batch off Ebay - 2 cases and 14 protectors for $12.00.

Neither detract from the sleek lines and it was more to do with my hand slipping on the phone getting it out of my pocket, than for protection against dropping.

I got a soft case that fits over the desire neatly, but has a shiny surface so it's not a struggle to pull out of a jeans pocket, unlike gel cases that seems to grip pockets with a vengeance.

Piel Frama magnum case.
Expensive and worth it.

Sensuous to the touch.
Built solid.

Desire always in the case, do not think I need a screen protector.
Always with me.

One drop so far - no damage.

I have a case-mate barely there (in hot pink of course), leather pouch and a martin fields screen protector. Love them all.
I left all the items in my shopping basket on mobile fun and left a note for my husband to buy them - as you do lol - and his response was....so you need a case to protect ur phone and then a pouch to protect the case??
I was like....and your point is????
What can I say, I love my phone lol :)

paid $50 for an Otter Box Defender used three weeks and the rubber started to come out all the time. I threw that in the garbage and I am now buying just a film cover for the screen.

I use a Zagg (Which is amazing) and a cheap fabric case I got off eBay called a Mofi. But is REALLY nice.
