I get one Monday, go to college in Sept for a photography course. If you get documents to go do you think it will be good to take notes in class instead of pen & paper. I'm laid back and lazy. Got mine cos I like to travel with my camera.
Get the thumbs keyboard and it will be easier to type faster for notes.
At least it is for me. I'm not sure about writing software for this tablet but there may be something like that on the market.
As for a photography course, I think tablets based on Nvidia chipset would do a better job. Still prefer to take notes by pen and paper because it's much more comfortable though some tablets or ipad have fast responses.
I would consider a slight use of it with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse; otherwise, you are much better off with a small laptop. I saw an Acer 11" netbook today that looks really nice and it comes with 7 Home Premium.
I have a Targus Bluetooth keyboard and a Microsoft A500 Bluetooth mouse - both work well. You can also use the mouse without the keyboard.
