Can these be opened on the eris? I have a few books I downloaded and they are doc. files. Can they be read or do I need to convert them to a different kind of file? Thanks
 
You will be able to open and read them, but you will have to start over each time you open one. It is better to convert them with calibre and then use an actually ebook app like aldiko or ereader. They are all free too.
